The Internet.

The Internet is not about computers.It's about people, communication & sharing infotrmation. The Internet makes us realize how small the world we live in. It's a way of overoming physical boundraries like distances to allow monds to meet.
With the arrival of the Internet, world communication took a gaint leap. Having conversations with people across the globe have prospects of direct communication. Advanced vedio conferencing technology now makes it possible to have live visual contact with business associates & friends across continents. News papers are being delivered in eloectronic form, making it convenient for people to stay in touch & well informed , at their own leisure. Information about latest scenarios & political happenings all over the world can be accessed with the press of a button. Mailing lists & electtronic subscriptions ensure that the latest news in available, irrespective of the place where it oriented.
The world today depends & thrives on information. Information not being global is of little use. The Internet gives us the ability to access information at any place at any given time. The world is connected through networks made up of millions of computers. Each computer in turn stores vast amounts of information. Moreover, new information keeps getting added & updated.
So how does one actually make use of this database if information to find some thing specific? Knowing where to get what you want on the Internet will always be to your benifit. With out a proper idea of what you want, logging on on & searching for information on the Internet can be a very harrowing experience.
